• Candidates should be Graduates in a school subject from a recognized university.
• Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree(Honours /General) / or in the Master's Degree in School subjects are eligible to apply.
• Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with Science and/or Mathematics, with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are also eligible for admission. Such candidates are required to enter the marks of B.E/ B. Tech. in the row of Honours Degree. M.E. / M. Tech result (if any) will be entered in the Master's Degree row.
• Honours Graduates in school subject should enter the Honours marks only in the row of Bachelor's degree (Honours).
• In case of General Graduates, the total marks obtained should be entered in the row of Bachelor's degree (General).
• For candidates with less than 50% marks in the honours degree, the total marks of pass and Honours subjects will be considered. If it becomes 50% or more, that score will be entered in Graduation (General) row.
• For fresh candidates, merit list will be prepared separately for each school subject based on scoring.
• For Deputed Candidates, merit list will be prepared separately for each school subject based on length of service.
Applicants from Arts, Science, Commerce, Humanities, Social Science, or other recognized disciplines are eligible to apply, subject to the prevailing admission regulations.
Admission is conducted strictly according to the rules and guidelines of BSAEU, NCTE, and the Government of West Bengal, based on the prescribed admission procedure for the academic session.
Applicants should keep the following documents ready:
• Graduation / Post Graduation Mark Sheets & Certificates
• Madhyamik & Higher Secondary Certificates
• Aadhaar Card / Valid Photo ID
• Caste / PwD / EWS Certificate (if applicable)
• Recent Passport-size Photographs
• Any other documents required by the College or University
• Candidates must satisfy all eligibility criteria prescribed by the University, NCTE, and Government of West Bengal.
• Reservation and relaxation are applicable as per Government rules.
• Final admission is subject to document verification and approval by the competent authority.
• Candidates with at least 50% marks in the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its Equivalent Examination are eligible for admission.
• A relaxation of 5% marks (i.e. 45% in Higher Secondary [10+2] or its equivalent examination) is admissible to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwD/EX-SERVICEMEN category/categories.
• In order to avail such relaxation, an applicant is required to submit relevant certificate(s) of such category/categories, issued by the competent authority of the Govt. of West Bengal.
The entry qualifications of an applicant belonging to Ex-Servicemen shall be determined in terms of School Education Department’s Notification vide No. 598-SE(EE)/PTTI-16/17 dated 08.09.2017 read with the clarification of MHRD contained in memo no. F. No. 1 -22/2012-EE-4(P) dated 23.08.2017, if the applicant does not have 50%/45% marks in Higher Secondary (10+2) examination.
• The upper age limit as on the first day of July of the year of notification shall be: General Category - 35 Years, SC/ST - 40 Years, OBC - 38 Years, PwD - 45 Years.
• The upper age limit for an Ex-Servicemen applicant shall be 55 Years.
• There shall be no upper age limit for an in-service primary school teacher appointed before 03.09.2001, provided he/she is duly recommended by the concerned Chairman of the Primary School Council / DI of Schools (PE) and possesses the prescribed minimum qualifying marks in the Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination.
Admission is conducted strictly according to the rules and guidelines prescribed by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and the Government of West Bengal, based on the prescribed admission procedure for the academic session.
Applicants should keep the following documents ready:
• Admit Card of Madhyamik Pariksha or equivalent examination as proof of age.
• Mark-sheet of Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination.
• Photograph of the applicant.
• Scanned Signature of the applicant.
• Caste & Category Certificates (if applicable) (SC/ST/OBC), issued by the competent authorities of the Government of West Bengal. Such Certificates from other States shall not be considered.
• PwD Certificate (if applicable), issued by the competent Medical Boards, headed by the Superintendent of the concerned Government Hospital.
• Pension/Service Book/Certificate as Ex-servicemen (if applicable), issued by the competent authorities.
• Domicile Certificate, issued by the concerned BDO for Santhali Medium applicants for the Ramgarh Unit of Jhargram DIET.
• Candidates must fulfill all eligibility criteria prescribed by WBBPE, NCTE, and the Government of West Bengal.
• Reservation and relaxation benefits will be applicable as per Government rules.
• Final admission is subject to successful document verification and approval by the competent authority.
• Any change in admission guidelines issued by the concerned authorities shall be applicable accordingly.
