Eligibility
Qualification
• Candidates should be Graduates in a school subject from a recognized university.
• Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree(Honours /General) / or in the Master's Degree in School subjects are eligible to apply.
• Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with Science and/or Mathematics, with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are also eligible for admission. Such candidates are required to enter the marks of B.E/ B. Tech. in the row of Honours Degree. M.E. / M. Tech result (if any) will be entered in the Master's Degree row.
• Honours Graduates in school subject should enter the Honours marks only in the row of Bachelor's degree (Honours).
• In case of General Graduates, the total marks obtained should be entered in the row of Bachelor's degree (General).
• For candidates with less than 50% marks in the honours degree, the total marks of pass and Honours subjects will be considered. If it becomes 50% or more, that score will be entered in Graduation (General) row.
• For fresh candidates, merit list will be prepared separately for each school subject based on scoring.
• For Deputed Candidates, merit list will be prepared separately for each school subject based on length of service.
Eligible Disciplines
Applicants from Arts, Science, Commerce, Humanities, Social Science, or other recognized disciplines are eligible to apply, subject to the prevailing admission regulations.
Admission Process
Admission is conducted strictly according to the rules and guidelines of BSAEU, NCTE, and the Government of West Bengal, based on the prescribed admission procedure for the academic session.

Ensure you meet the B.Ed. eligibility criteria: a recognized graduate/postgraduate degree in an approved school subject, minimum qualifying marks (50%/55%), and no conflicting enrollment.

Identify your candidate category before applying: Fresh Candidates are evaluated on academic marks, while Deputed Teachers are assessed on length of service, with separate seat reservations and fee exemptions.
Calculate Your Merit Score (Fresh Candidates)
Your merit score is calculated using weighted percentages from Madhyamik, HS, and Bachelor's/Master's marks, with bonus points for M.Phil./Ph.D., and requires CGPA-to-percentage conversion if applicable.
Submit Documents
Gather and submit required documents: mark sheets for fresh candidates, service and deputation certificates for deputed teachers, and a mandatory Anti-Ragging Affidavit for all applicants.
Apply Online and Pay Fees
Submit your application online with accurate data, pay the applicable fee and note that BSAEU's own department requires no fee.
Merit List, Verification, and Final Admission
The university releases subject-wise merit lists, followed by document verification at the college level, with final admission confirmed only after successful verification and completion of joining formalities.
